Our Story

Fueled by our shared love for motorsports and our family’s deep-rooted connection to racing, we founded Fastlane Photography & Design in 2019. Long before we knew Western Speedway’s days were numbered, we were already passionate about capturing the spirit of the sport — the speed, the emotion, and the stories behind every car and driver. When news came that the track was being put up for sale, our work took on new meaning. It became our mission to help preserve the history of local racing and showcase the people who make this community so special.

Though Western Speedway has since closed (2022), our dedication to the sport hasn’t slowed. What began as a mission to document Vancouver Island’s motorsports legacy has evolved into a broader effort to promote and celebrate racing across the West Coast.

As third-generation racers ourselves, we understand the thrill, commitment, and challenges that come with life at the track. We’ve seen firsthand the resilience of racers, teams, and promoters, and we want to continue supporting that spirit through our photography, videography, and design work.

Our goal is not just to capture stunning moments on the track, but to keep the racing culture alive by sharing its energy, camaraderie, and determination. Through creative storytelling and visual design, we aim to inspire others to experience the passion, teamwork, and excitement that define motorsports.

Our journey is not just about preserving history, but about fostering a sense of unity, celebrating the shared passion that brought racers and fans together. The racing community is like no other, and we feel extremely grateful to be a part of it.

Photographer

I am a photographer fueled by passion for motorsports and a love for the preservation of our best memories.

Combining two of my favourite passions - photography & racing - has led to some amazing memories. I love capturing moments for fans and racers alike, and I can't wait to work with you to get that perfect shot!

As a third-generation racer I've seen the track from all different angles—driving, spotting, changing tires, taking pictures and sometimes all in the same day! Although I am not actively racing anymore, my passion for the sport remains. Whether it be race day action, garage shots, or private photo sessions I'm here to work with you to capture the best kind of memories—racing ones!

While I wish this could be my full time job, I have a lot of other things on the go outside of Fastlane! I am currently enrolled in a full time course working towards my bachelors degree. In addition to my schooling, I hold a handful of part time jobs and am actively involved in volleyball on the island as a referee and mentor for female officials. When I'm not driving up and down the island for work, or writing a paper for school, I love road trips, camping, and world travel!

Shoot us a message and let's get started!

Graphic Designer

I’m a self-taught creative with a passion for storytelling through graphic design, photography, and videography.

As a third-generation racer, I grew up at Western Speedway - it’s where I found my home away from home, met my second family, and fell in love with the sport and the people who make it so special.

What started with designing Hero Cards has grown into capturing the full story of motorsports through photo and video. I love using creativity to showcase the energy, emotion, and community that make racing so unique, and seeing the joy that these projects bring to both racers and fans is what keeps me inspired.

Outside of Fastlane, I work full-time as a Business Process Manager at an industrial equipment manufacturing company, where I lead continuous improvement initiatives and support the software systems that keep our business running. I’m also fortunate to travel for work. When I get some time away from work and Fastlane, chances are I’m in the shop or at the track with my fiancé (also a racer!), doing what we both love!

I can’t wait to bring your ideas to life and help share your story, on and off the track.
